At the heart of the Shaw Method is Steven Shaw’s Art of Swimming, based in North London. Our skilled team of teachers offer one to one lessons and run regular courses, including workshops and swimming holidays throughout the UK, and across North America and Europe.

Over fifty registered Shaw Method teachers work both independently and on various collaborative projects with Art of Swimming.

Our friendly and efficient staff Mandy, Jana, Corinne, Janet and Kirby who are based in London, N20 are available to answer any queries you may have,  take bookings and also assist you with any other Art of Swimming related questions. Although bookings for our  swimming holidays are made through experienced ABTA and ATOL registered travel agents you can first make contact with the office where you will be advised of the booking procedure.

Art of Swimming pupils include people of all ages and swimming abilities. They range from those wishing to improve their style and technique to those seeking the wider therapeutic benefits of swimming.

We have extensive experience of helping people with issues around water confidence, particularly those uncomfortable with putting their faces in the water. We also offer instruction to triathletes, fitness swimmers and to those interested in exploring a mindful way of swimming.
